Wins from Three Springs and Carnamah-Perenjori on Saturday saw them jump above Coorow-Latham as first and second on the ladder in the North Midlands Football League ahead of the country week bye.

Coorow entered the week as the table leaders but have now dropped down to third following their 15.12 (102) to 5.14 (44) loss against Three Springs.

The Bombers now jump up to first on the ladder following their recent form with a four-game winning streak.

The contest between Carnamah and Mingenew ended up being a tight clash, with the home side getting the nod 8.8 (56) to 7.8 (50).

Mingenew have just two wins this season but came out with an early 0.2 (2) to 1.2 (8) first quarter lead in the low-scoring clash.

The Kangaroos turned their fortune around in the second with four goals, but it was just a one-point game in the Bulldogs favour heading into the final term.

With the game up for grabs, reigning premiers Carnamah pulled through late to avoid an upset.

In the win, Joseph Iaria and Jarrod Jupp had a pair of goals each. Mingenew’s Clayton Fowler and Jack Roberts nabbed two in the loss.

After suffering an 81-point loss in round five, Dongara got their revenge against Morawa with a 20.13 (133) to 4.1 (25) win.

The Eagles saw 10 players hit the scoreboard, with Brendan Davis putting through a handy four goals and Roy McGuiness with three.

The league now has a bye on the weekend for country week, with the North Midlands squad looking to make an impact in division three.

The squad will face Central Wheatbelt and Great Southern on Friday, before games against Onshore Cup and Hills on Saturday. The top two sides from the division will face in the decider on Sunday.

Every club has at least three players will suit up for the league in Perth, Three Springs is the most represented with nine players.
