Man charged over Shark Bay knife incident
A man has been charged following an alleged knife incident in a Shark Bay street on Sunday.
The 44-year-old from Baldavis has been charged with breaching a violence restraining order, being armed in a way that may cause fear, acts of intent to cause grievous bodily harm and aggravated burglary and commit.
He is expected to appear before Perth Magistrate’s Court today.
Police said the man and a 27-year-old Madora Bay woman were today recovering in hospitals from non-life threatening injuries.
They were flown to Perth by Royal Flying Doctor Service after the incident, near the intersection of Hughes and Brockman streets about 5.30pm on Sunday.
Police allege the woman suffered a number of knife wounds during an altercation, while the man allegedly received injuries when witnesses attempted to retrain him.
