A man suffered a lower leg fracture during a skydiving incident in Jurien Bay this morning.

St John Ambulance responded to the incident at Jurien Bay Airport about 8.05am and departed at 9.30am.

The man, in his 20s, was flown to Royal Perth Hospital via the RAC Rescue helicopter.

Skydive Jurien Bay safety officer Heath Baird said the man just had an “awkward landing.”

“It’s pretty much the equivalent of tripping,” he said.
