Man charged over $30,000 vandalism

Police have charged a 32-year-old man over an alleged $30,000 vandalism rampage in Mt Magnet.

The Swagman Roadhouse was left trashed after the incident, which occurred between 6pm and 9pm on Monday.

A car belonging to the roadhouse manager was also damaged.

Mt Magnet police allege the man hit the car with a rock, smashing the windscreen and leaving dents in the body.

The man has been charged with two counts of criminal damage.
