Arguably the biggest event on Carnarvon’s social calendar, Carnarvon Race Club’s Ladies Day, will be held tomorrow, with thousands travelling from across WA.

Aside from taking in the atmosphere and looking fabulous, there is a serious side to the day.

The Gascoyne heat for the WA Country Cup’s Fashions on the Field will be held during the meeting, with a massive prize on offer for the lucky winner.

As well as representing Gascoyne in the final at Ascot Racecourse on December 2, the winner will receive flights from Carnarvon to Perth, accommodation and a host of special invitations.

Ladies keen to enter the Gascoyne Heat can collect a registration form in Carnarvon from Carpet Court, Everywhere Travel, Heddi’s Hair Salon, or register in person on the day before race two.

The three judges for the competition will be lifestyle blogger Rayne Embley, Miss Universe Australia 2010 runner-up Renae Wauhop and Gascoyne Heat 2016 winner Ava Paasuke.
