Global star’s arrival excites
Australia’s 2017 Eurovision star and 2016 winner of The X Factor, Isaiah Firebrace, will perform his first show in WA at The Woolshed in Carnarvon this Friday.
Carnarvon Civic Centre venue manager Michelle Goff said it was a fantastic event for the community.
“The kids are really excited and so are the parents,” she said.
“We are absolutely thrilled that we were able to have him here before he goes off to tour in Europe. We feel really lucky.”
The 17-year-old singer has a global fan base, with hit single It’s Gotta Be You gaining platinum status in Sweden and Norway.
Isaiah, whose music has been streamed more than 85 million times, has also landed the top spot on iTunes Australia, along with coveted positions in the Spotify and iTunes charts in the United Kingdom, the United States, the Philippines, Denmark, Germany and Canada.
Performing recently at the celebrity-packed G’Day LA event in Hollywood, Isaiah impressed the likes of entertainment giants Chris Hemsworth, Paul Hogan, Nicole Kidman, Keith Urban and John Travolta.
From humble beginnings in the small NSW town of Moama, Isaiah is now one of Australia’s most successful artists and a global household name, after performing to an audience of more than 250 million people on Eurovision, the world’s biggest music television event.
Isaiah will perform a one-time show with his band at 8pm.
Tickets are available through the Carnarvon Civic Centre website or its office.
