Geraldton’s Teakle sisters prominent in undefeated East Fremantle’s latest win in WAFLW

The women of East Fremantle are setting the WAFLW alight, going undefeated after seven games.
And a key part of the Sharks’ success this year has been local product Julia Teakle, 18, who for the past two games has been joined in the league side by her younger sister Tiani, 15.
The Teakle sisters made their presence felt in the Sharks’ latest win on Saturday against Peel Thunder, 6.7(43) to 1.3(9).
Julia had 12 disposals, while Tiani collected seven disposals and laid six tackles. Both sisters kicked one goal each.
Both sisters starred in Northampton’s premiership winning season last year in the GNFLW.
East Fremantle are one game ahead of second-placed Claremont on the ladder. The Sharks beat the Tigers by two points in round two.
At almost the halfway point of the season, East Fremantle will next face Swan Districts on April 23.
Then they will head to Northampton on April 30 for a special festival of footy fundraiser as one of four WAFL/GNFL matches. Their clash in Northampton will be against Claremont, which is shaping up to be a top-of-the-table battle.
