Geraldton girls move swiftly to help sick kids
Best friends Sienna Luff and Madison Sorgiovanni raised eyebrows when they visited Perth to see a Taylor Swift concert and came back wanting to start a business to support sick children.
But the two best friends, both 13, have a good inspiration — Telethon.
“We decided to go and have a look (at Telethon Weekend 2018) while we were in Perth and it was really good,” Madison said.
“We hope to donate the proceeds of our business this year.”
The Nagle Catholic College students have been selling their homemade products at Geraldton markets and have managed to launch in six Geraldton shops.
The business, named Eco Body, features bath bombs, bath salts, lip balm and lip gloss.
Sienna said teachers at Nagle had encouraged their business idea, as had her parents who, along with the Sorgiovanni family, had been involved with Midwest Charity Begins at Home.
The girls have already sold about $1000 worth of products but note they are yet to calculate production costs.
