Geraldton detectives are investigating a robbery in which a 16-year-old boy had his motorbike stolen while waiting idle in the Red Rooster drive-through. It is alleged a 16-year-old arrived at the Red Rooster drive-through on Green Street, Spalding, on Friday at8.36pm on a VMOTO TC1 electric motorbike. As he was waiting with the bike idling, detectives allege the boy was approached by an unknown male who threatened the teen and demanded he hand over his motorbike. Det-Sen. Sgt Bruce McDonald said the 16-year-old got off the motorbike fearing for his safety and the bike was taken and ridden north on North West Coastal Highway. The bike was recovered on Saturday morning near Nerrel Street in Waggrakine. The suspect is described as dark-skinned, about 183cm tall and wearing a black jumper. “We are asking if anyone knows anything about the robbery this matter or was in the area around Red Roster who may have dash cam footage that may assist us with our investigation to contact Geraldton Detectives or Crime Stoppers,” Det-Sen.
