The Geraldton Buccaneers kept their unbeaten home run intact on Saturday night with a 25-point win against the Perth Redbacks in round 11 of the NBL1 West.

The Buccs have turned Activewest Stadium into a fortress this season, winning all seven of their home games this season.

Despite the absence of star player Mathiang Muo, they still proved too good for the Redbacks.

A tight first quarter saw the Buccs lead by two points at the first break, which they extended to six by half-time as the Redbacks kept pace with their opponents.

The visitors’ resistance soon faded in the second half as the Buccs lead grew out to 18 points in the third quarter, and 25 in the fourth, finishing 94-69 victors.

The result improves their record to 12-1 and on top of the ladder, ahead of the Warwick Senators in second.

In just his fourth match for the season, Clayton Parfitt celebrated his 200th appearance for the side, slotting a three-pointer to cap off a good night for the Buccs.

They dominated the boards with 59 rebounds to 36, against a Redbacks team featuring Louis Timms and Ben Smith.

Cameron Coleman finished with 22 points, nine rebounds, three assists and two steals for the Buccs, while Shaun Stewart contributed 19 points, 12 boards and three steals.

Ryan Blanchett chipped in with 15 points and 11 rebounds while Malik Meunier added nine points and eight assists.

The Buccs will now face the East Perth Eagles next Saturday night at Activewest Stadium in round 12.
