Geraldton boy hit by car ‘in stable condition’
A Geraldton boy is in a stable condition in a Perth hospital after he was hit by a car on Marine Terrace on Sunday afternoon.
St John’s Ambulance was notified about the accident, near Lester Avenue, at 2.21pm.
It happened during the City of Greater Geraldton’s Wind on Water Festival, a two-day community event along the Geraldton foreshore.
The boy was taken to Geraldton Hospital as a priority one emergency.
A St John Ambulance spokesman said the boy suffered cuts, grazes and significant injuries to his upper legs.
He was later airlifted to Perth Children’s Hospital for further treatment.
