Frock and roll for races

Samantha Wells has put out a call to the ladies: frock up and get to the Carnarvon races on Saturday.

That’s when the Gascoyne region of the WA Fashions on the Field competition will be held.

The event was due to be held in June, but Mother Nature washed out the races.

The Carnarvon leg of the FOTF will be the fifth of nine regional heats.

Ms Wells won the Gascoyne leg last year, representing the district in the State final at Ascot racecourse. Saturday’s winner will be at Ascot on November 30.

“The Gascoyne coastline is breathtakingly picturesque and should be on everyone’s bucket list,” Ms Wells said.

“If you come to visit, stay relaxed, have fun and most of all smile — there’s nothing more attractive than happiness.”
