Carnarvon police allegedly seized cannabis and methamphetamine after stopping a vehicle in town last week, with a 29-year-old driver summoned to court on drug charges. Police allege on Thursday, July 6 about 10.15pm, officers conducted a vehicle stop on Robinson Street in Carnarvon. Officer-in-charge Sen. Sgt Mark Ardley said police searched the vehicle and allegedly located about 16 grams of cannabis and a small amount of meth inside the vehicle. As a result, a 29-year-old Carnarvon man was charged with two counts of possessing a prohibited drug and will appear in the Carnarvon Magistrates Court on August 7. “Carnarvon police and Carnarvon detectives are continuing to disrupt the supply and distribution of drugs within the community,” Sen Sgt Ardley said.
