Driver facing cannabis charge

A Wheatbelt man has been charged after Dongara police allegedly found cannabis in his car last night.

Sergeant Grant Rosman said a small quantity of the drug was found in an empty cigarette packet on the dashboard.

The 49-year-old from Yealering was charged with possession of a prohibited drug and unlicensed driving (due to fines suspension).

He will face court at a later date.
