There weren’t too many eagles flying around the turn into Nerren Nerren homestead on a Sunday afternoon recently — but the Eagles are always front and centre there.

Nerren Nerren, about 200km north of Geraldton on the North West Coastal Highway, is obviously strong blue and gold country.

And they are also community driven, with the logo of Apex Australia on a giant-sized tyre on the road verge.

The closest Apex club is at Geraldton, which is always looking for members and celebrates its AGM at the Hampton Arms Inn, Greenough, on Saturday, September 21.
