Close contests shape round two of the Geraldton Motocross Club season
The rain held off for the Geraldton Motocross Club as riders kicked up clouds of dust in round two of their season.
In the A-grade category, Jared Blakeney showcased his dominance with a commanding performance, clinching the top spot.
His skilful riding and strategic manoeuvres secured him the first-place position, leaving Seth Patience and Gary Hansson to battle it out for second and third place respectively.
In B-grade, Sean Anderson emerged victorious, demonstrating exceptional speed and agility on the track. Makala Edwards put up a valiant effort to secure second place, closely followed by Darcy Dawson in third.
Daniel Rimmer proved his prowess in C-grade, delivering a flawless performance to take home the first-place trophy.
Lilli Patience and Adam Symons-Clark showcased their skills to secure second and third place respectively, highlighting the depth of talent in this category.
The veterans category witnessed Blakeney once again asserting his dominance, securing another first-place finish.
Harley Box put up a strong challenge, claiming second place, while Sean Anderson showcased his versatility by clinching third place.
The junior lites 250cc category provided spectators with exhilarating racing action, with Eddie Fay emerging as victor.
Charlie Humphries and Riley Vandershuit displayed impressive skills to secure second and third place respectively, promising an exciting season ahead for this category.
In the junior lites 125cc category, Addison Orr demonstrated exceptional talent to claim the top spot, with Jamie Nunn closely following in second place.
The battle for supremacy in this category was intense, with riders pushing themselves to the limit in pursuit of victory.
Angus Fay emerged victorious in the 85cc senior category, showcasing his skill and determination on the track.
Orr and Jaxson Monaghan battled fiercely for second and third place respectively, highlighting the competitive nature of this category.
Club spokesperson Makala Edwards expressed her gratitude to all participants and volunteers.
“We had another good turnout of people today and hope they stay for more rounds to come,” she said.
“Big thanks to everyone who helped out around the track, the canteen helpers, bar staff, and those helping each other in the pits.”
