Central Midlands Coastal Football League announce award winners ahead of weekend’s grand final

Ahead of this week’s grand final between Dandaragan and Jurien Bay, the Central Midlands Coastal Football League held its 2023 awards night. The JJ Lussick Medal, the league’s best and fairest award, was won by Dandaragan’s Todd Kenny. The Saints captain played 13 games this season, kicked eight goals and helped lead the team to their first grand final berth since 2015. Kenny polled 21 votes to take out the medal, with the next closest being Jurien Bay’s Rhys Waters with 17 and Cervantes Jacob Green with 15. The Lindsay Tierney league leading goal kicker award was won by Cervantes’ James Venturini, who booted 38 goals this season. Last year he was runner-up to his teammate Isaac Devitt-Boyd, who came in second this year.
