Carnarvon woman one of 12 winners in Australia-wide Spirit of the Bush photography competition

One of 12 photos selected to be in next year’s Rural Aid calendar has come from a Carnarvon woman. Jane Taylor works on a cattle station situated only 45km north of Carnarvon and she was one of the few Australians picked in the Spirit of the Bush photography competition. Started back in 2020, the competition has people trying to capture the essence of rural Australia, with the 12 winners going into a calendar. The money made from the calendar will then help raise funds for the rural communities and support Australian farmers. Ms Taylor also had a winning submission in last year’s calendar with a photo of two bulls clashing, while this year’s entry was a cowboy trying to wrangle a bull around a tree. The winners will each receive a $250 prepaid visa card and a copy of the 2024 Rural Aid calendar.
