A child who was airlifted from Carnarvon to a Perth hospital after a dog attack last week has been discharged.

The child was admitted to Carnarvon Hospital after the attack and flown by Royal Flying Doctor Service on Wednesday afternoon to Jandakot airport, where an ambulance took the patient to Perth Children’s Hospital.

A hospital spokeswoman today said the child has since been discharged.

The circumstances surrounding the attack are unclear, but Carnarvon police confirmed no charges had been laid and no investigation was under way.
