Geraldton basketball fans have some big weekends ahead, coming up, with a rare double header next round.

Buccs administrator Nerolie Gerreyn said she hoped crowds would get behind the side.

“We’ve got double-headers in Geraldton, which we don’t normally have,” she said.

“Hopefully people will get behind it.”

The Goldfields Giants took away a win over the weekend, beating the Buccs 70-62 on home court.

Goldfields came into the match with a 3-5 win-loss record.

A breakout game from new signing Mathiang Muo helped the Buccs on the road last weekend as they downed Mandurah, but while he battled away with fellow veterans Mat Wundenberg and Aaron Ralph, the Giants were too strong.
