The Football Federation of Australia has extended its halt on grassroots soccer until the end of May.

Manjimup Rovers and Blackwood United will be affected by the suspension, which was extended by the federation on Thursday.

Rover’s vice-president Jeremy Connor said that the club welcomed the announcement.

“The Manjimup Rovers understand the important role that social distancing has in flattening the curve of the COVID-19 pandemic,” he said.

“We welcome the announcement by the FFA that they will be extending the suspension to grassroots football until the end of May.”
