A motorcycle rider has died in a crash with another rider at Sydney Motorsport Park on Australia Day.

The man, 30, was participating in a “ride day” at the Western Sydney circuit that allows riders to tackle the circuit at speed.

Paramedics were called to the track at about 3.30pm following reports two riders collided before crashing into a tyre wall at the circuit.

An Ambulance Service of NSW spokeswoman said paramedics treated a man for serious head injuries and cardiac arrest, but he could not be revived.

Paramedics took a second man, 38, to Westmead hospital for treatment.
