Lotterywest spokesperson Pina Compagnone said the million-dollar win was a good sign of things to come in what’s set to be a bumper week.

“We’ll see an $80 million Powerball jackpot offered Thursday night,” she said.

“That’s the largest Lotto offer in Australia this year and since July last year.

“At the moment our State is averaging more than one division one winner a week, with our tally now at 23.

“So let’s hope this strong run of winners continues to Thursday’s jackpot.”

Tickets for this Thursday’s $80 million Powerball jackpot are available until 6pm draw day from Lotterywest in-store, online or via the app.

Lotterywest encourages responsible play, with tickets starting from $2.40.
