Two sisters from Perth’s southern suburbs will split $1 million and have West Aussies ensuring they always double check their lotto tickets.

The siblings came into some serious cash after matching six numbers in the Saturday lotto draw of January 8.

One of them initially thought they’d lucked out by having five of the six winning digits. But after logging in online, they realised what they thought was an eight was actually a three.

“We’d talked about changing our numbers because we hadn’t had much success recently,” one of the winners said.

“Now we’re over the moon that we didn’t.”

The pair are set to splash the cash on a new set of wheels each. There’s no word on what type of vehicles the sisters will splurge on, but with plenty of green sitting in their bank accounts, their options are almost limitless.

Meanwhile tickets to tonight’s $20 million Powerball jackpot are available until 6pm.

The draw will be held just two days after a West Aussie scored $25 million in Tuesday’s Oz Lotto jackpot. It was the fifth biggest lotto win in the State’s history.
