Police are investigating the death of a woman in the remote Goldfields community of Wanarn.

A police spokesperson this morning confirmed police were called to the community around 9:50am yesterday morning following reports a woman had died.

“Homicide Squad Detectives are investigating the death of a 54-year-old woman at the Wanarn Aboriginal Community,” she said.

“A 50-year-old man is currently assisting investigators with their inquiries.”

Wanarn is an isolated community in the Shire of Ngaanyatjarraku, 850km north-east of Kalgoorlie-Boulder.
