Family-friendly movies are returning to Geraldton’s Stow Gardens from Friday for another season of Films on the Foreshore.

The series of films kicks off with Wonka, which was released last year and stars Timothee Chalamet as the aspiring magician, inventor and chocolatier.

The variety of offerings include animated film Megamind, Australian movie Storm Boy and 1980s classic Back to the Future.

City of Greater Geraldton deputy mayor Natasha Colliver was delighted with the return of Films on the Foreshore.

“We’re happy to be able to present another exciting line-up of titles as Films on the Foreshore is a family favourite event for the city,” she said.

“Everybody is sure to enjoy a movie night with a selection of new releases like Wonka and Storm Boy as well as beloved classics like Megamind and Back to the Future.

“Prepare the kids for an exciting evening of entertainment at Stow Gardens on the Foreshore by packing your coziest pillows and tastiest snacks”.

All films are family-friendly, rated either G or PG, and each screening will start from 6.30pm-7pm onward, light permitting.

Films on the Foreshore has been made possible thanks to support from Rio Tinto.
