The Geraldton Disability Expo returned on Thursday to offer connection, understanding and opportunity for local disabled people, and their families and carers.

Held at the QEII Centre on Thursday morning, a range of stalls welcomed guests to learn about support services.

More than 20 stalls offered information and connection with providers, including accessible furniture, local health workers, and engaging programs.

Outside, Sailability WA, which offer a sailing program for people with disability, invited guests to explore its yacht and come down to a future session.

The third year of the expo saw the number of stallholders continue to grow, and mayor Jerry Clune said he was happy with the turnout.

“Access and inclusion remain a top priority for council, and we’re committed to making it easier for people to find information, access support and feel welcomed in our community,” he said.

“We have such a wonderful variety of services available within our region, so it makes sense to bring them together in one place.”

Mr Clune opened the expo with a speech before inviting attendees to help themselves to morning tea.
