Four people have been rushed to hospital after a large tree branch fell on them at Yanchep National Park.

A woman in her 20s was this afternoon taken to Royal Perth Hospital.

The West Australian understands she suffered some minor cuts and abrasions, but a St John Ambulance spokeswoman said she was taken to hospital as a precaution in case she had suffered a spinal injury.

An additional two women and one man were taken by ambulance to Joondalup Health Campus with minor cuts and abrasions.

The West Australian understands the branch landed on the small group about 2pm, while they were eating lunch in the park.
