A young girl has been hit by a vehicle in the Peel region town of Waroona this afternoon.

The incident happened on the eastern outskirts of the township, near the Hill and Jackson Street intersection about 2.45pm — however WA Police were unable to confirm the circumstances of the crash.

It’s understood the girl, aged under 10, was conscious and breathing when emergency services arrived at the scene.

St John Ambulance WA paramedics are at the scene treating the girl, who is understood to have sustained cuts and bruises from the incident.

In Dalyellup, a 13-year-old boy was struck by a vehicle while on his scooter along Norton Promenade just before 8.30pm.

St John Ambulance took him to Bunbury Hospital with a broken arm and lacerations.

The incidents come less than a week after two children were struck by cars in Perth.

On March 10 at about 6.15pm, a five-year-old girl was injured after being knocked from her scooter in an alleged hit and run along Como’s Greenock Avenue.

The following day about 3.15pm, a 12-year-old girl sustained suspected head injuries after being hit by a car in a school zone in Alkimos while trying to cross Hollington Boulevard.
