An 18-year-old man has been killed after the 4WD he was a passenger in rolled in bushland near Fitzroy Crossing.

Major Crash officers are investigating the fatal crash, which happened just before 3am on Sunday morning off Lamey Avenue.

Police said the victim was a passenger in a white Toyota Landcruiser utility that was being driven off-road when the vehicle rolled.

The teenager received fatal injuries and tragically died at the scene.

Another passenger, a 20-year-old man, received serious injuries and inquiries into his condition are still ongoing.

Another 18-year-old man, who is believed to the driver of the 4WD, is currently assisting police with their inquiries.

Major Crash Investigators are urging witnesses who may have seen the incident or who have any information in relation to the crash to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or report the information online at www.crimestopperswa.com.au.

Last October a 49-year-old died in a crash on the outskirts of Fitzroy Crossing after his Mitsubishi Pajero veered off the road and rolled near Yurabi Road.

His death came just over a month after a 12-year-old girl died in a horror accident on Great Northern Highway, about 75km from Fitzroy Crossing.
