A garage fire caused $150,000 damage at a home in Perth’s northern suburbs this morning.

Firefighters were called to the property on Apsley Bend in Tapping about 9am and arrived to find an enclosed carport at the side of the home engulfed in flames.

The garage door had to be removed so firefighters could get access to the blaze and prevent it spreading, but they were unable to save a four-wheel-drive and campervan parked inside.
