The RAC rescue helicopter has been dispatched to the South-West to treat an injured surfer.

The helicopter is flying to Yallingup to treat and transport a man who has sustained injuries while surfing.

The West Australian has been told the man is in his 20s and has back injuries.

It’s expected he will be brought back to Perth for further medical treatment.

St John Ambulance crews are already at the scene, which is near Dawson Drive in Yallingup.
