A Perth dad-to-be says his unborn baby girl might be the “lucky charm” behind his $1m Lotto win this week.

The man was one of two winning tickets across Australia on Monday after he bought his winning ticket from the Jackpot Lottery Centre in Mirrabooka.

“I bought the ticket right after my wife and I found out the gender of our first baby,” the winner said.

“I’m still in shock that we’ve won.

The new parents will use the winnings to travel overseas to visit family and loved ones they haven’t seen since the pandemic.

“We can’t wait to celebrate with them,” the Perth man said.

Players who missed out on Monday’s game will soon have another chance to win big this weekend.

The Saturday Lotto has soared to $20 million after no one matched last weekend’s numbers.

It was the first time in Saturday Lotto history that the $10 million division one prize was left unclaimed, according to Lotterywest.

Tickets to Saturday’s draw are available until 6pm on the draw night.
