Man accused of Wodonga murder faces court

A man has faced court over the alleged shooting murder of another man near the Victorian and NSW border.

Benjamin Paul Stiler, 25, on Saturday faced the Melbourne Magistrates Court charged with the murder of 26-year-old Dwayne Johnson at Wodonga last week.

Stiler was arrested at a service station in Ascot Vale, in Melbourne's northwest, about 9pm on Friday, police said.

He has been remanded in custody and is expected to face a filing hearing before the Wodonga Magistrates Court on Tuesday.
