The gang crime squad are on the hunt for a young man as part of their investigation into a violent stabbing at Lakeside Joondalup shopping centre.
Families at a food court were confronted with violent scenes on September 19 when a man in his 20s was stabbed.
On Friday, gang crime squad detectives launched a public appeal seeking the whereabouts of 22-year-old Vincent Azo.
The West understands detectives wish to speak with Mr Azo in relation to the shopping centre stabbing, which police said occurred following a reported “disturbance involving two parties”.
Police have also released images of what appears to be Mr Azo inside a shopping centre wearing a hooded jumper.

He is described as being 190cm tall, of slim build and having a dark complexion. The public is urged to not approach Mr Azo if he is sighted, but to call police immediately on 131 444.
It comes more than a week after Samuel Moses Malual, 24, was remanded in custody after being charged with being armed in a way that may cause fear over the same incident.
Police allege Mr Malual brandished a knife at a group inside the shopping centre. He was not charged with the stabbing itself.
Commissioner Col Blanch previously said the ordeal had suspected links to a gang from the Ellenbrook area. He denied that gang violence in the northern suburbs was becoming more frequent.
Anyone with information about the location or recent movements of Mr Anzo is asked to contact Crime Stoppers online or 1800 333 000.
