The West Australian government has donated $500,000 to help the people of Ukraine as they deal with the humanitarian crisis caused by the Russian invasion.

The donation to the Ukraine Crisis Appeal will help provide emergency relief and humanitarian aid to those affected by the war.

“My thoughts are with the people of Ukraine in this very difficult time,” Premier Mark McGowan said on Friday.

“We stand in solidarity with all Western Australians of Ukrainian heritage and those with connections and relatives in Ukraine.

“We hope these funds offer some relief against the unprovoked and brutal aggression by the Russian government towards the people of Ukraine.”
