Dunsborough Progress Association has opened nominations for its 22nd Naturaliste gratitude award, honouring the generous contributions of Dunsborough residents.

Members of the public are invited to nominate people from the locality who have made significant differences within schools, sports, health, arts, the environment, and emergency service sectors.

DPA volunteer Karoline Morgan said the award aimed to recognise these generous and giving people.

“Anybody involved with any type of community establishment, whether it’s a football team or something to do with the environment, there’s always a lot of work that goes on behind the scenes — these people donate their time and effort to make it happen,” Ms Morgan said.

“These are contributions we all benefit from, these people love to give and they really care about the community they live in,” she said.

Recipients of the award will be selected for their past, present and ongoing community contributions.

“We all know someone around us that is a giver. I encourage everyone to seek out these people in your social circles and put someone forward for the award,” Ms Morgan said.

Nominations are open until January 20 and more information can be found at dunsboroughprogress.com.au.
