Busselton Trotting Club has donated more than $1000 to the Red Cross Australia Bushfire Appeal.

Raffle tickets were sold at the Busselton Cup last Friday night, with all proceeds directed to Red Cross Australia.

Busselton Trotting Club president Dennis Russell said in his 40 years involved with the club, this was the most important cause he had seen.

“We are very proud and it’s important to look after the people who are in desperation over east,” he said. “All of the goods raffled off came from local businesses and everyone wants to do whatever they can to help.”

Red Cross Busselton manager Tanya Seamark said every donation counted to help those affected by the bushfire crisis.
