Confirmed 4m crocodile sighting at Broome’s Demco Beach

A crocodile believed to be between 3.5m and 4m long was spotted off Demco Beach in Broome this morning.

According to the Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions Parks and Wildlife Service, the sighting was confirmed at about 11.12am and the creature was predicted to be heading towards the Port of Broome.

A PAWS removal team was deployed.

Beaches have been closed on the eastern side from Streeter’s Jetty to Reddell Beach.

Any further sightings can be reported to PAWS Broome on 9195 5500.
