Wild footage has emerged appearing to show a group of Australian tourists involved in a massive brawl outside a popular bar in Bali.

The street fight is understood to have involved two groups of males outside Motel Mexicola, a popular beachside nightclub, in North Kuta last week.

Motel Mexicola Seminyak manager Gusti Putu Wira Suparta, told police and local media, that the incident initially involved two Australians inside the bar before continuing outside after security instructed the parties to leave the premises.

The young males later tried to re-enter the bar but were denied, inciting another big fight to ensue with one of the tourists allegedly attempting to attack one of the security officers.

As the fight was broken up, one man was seen striking another, who appears shirtless in the viral footage, before he was eventually dragged away by his friends.

North Kuta Police Chief Kompol I Ketut Sukadana confirmed to The Bali Times, that they were investigating the incident but had not made any arrests.

“Our officers have gone to the location to trace the disturbance.” Mr Sukadana began, adding :”We are also matching the video with the information obtained in the field.

“The incident was initially triggered by a misunderstanding, possibly compounded by excessive alcohol consumption.

“Whenever an incident occurs, we will respond together and take the necessary action. We will never allow even the slightest disturbance to occur in the North Kuta area without taking appropriate action.

“All the foreign nationals involved in the brawl at the bar are reportedly Australian.”

The incident has also led to authorities dealing a swift warning to all of those looking to visit the island.

Mr Sukadana told the Daily Mail: “We warn foreign nationals visiting Bali, particularly the North Kuta area, to engage in positive and orderly activities and not to disturb public safety and order within the jurisdiction of the North Kuta Police.

“If they violate these rules, we will coordinate with Immigration regarding deportation.”

The footage has led to Balinese locals and social media users around the world calling out the tourists for their bad behaviour, with some even going so far as to call for Australian tourists to be banned from visiting Bali entirely.

“Australians should be banned from Bali,” one person wrote, while a second added: “Straight to the airport and see you.”

A third commented: “Bali does not need these stupid people – get out!”

Others have commented that the incident was nothing out of the ordinary claiming that street fights were now a common sight in parts of Bali.

“No surprise – Canggu or Seminyak – you will always find this kind of view,” one social media user wrote, with another adding: “Same s***, same Bali.”
