Aldi have recalled a popular Thai salad as it contains cashew nuts despite the label stating otherwise.

Thai Coconut Wild Rice Prepared Salads from Fresh Salad Co. with use by dates from July 3 to July 9, 2022 are impacted.

A cashew nut allergy can cause an anaphylactic reaction from eating, breathing in cashew dust or even just touching the nuts with exposed skin.

Product Safety Australia warned of potential health harm if the salad is consumed by a person with the allergy.

“Any consumers who have a cashew allergy or intolerance may have a reaction if the product is consumed,” the website read.

“Any consumers concerned about their health should seek medical advice.”

The impacted salads have a barcode of 4088700324783 and were sold in a plastic tub.
