Albany’s Geoff and Monica Belz have raised more than $2600 for the Cancer Council with their Biggest Morning Tea.

There were tea, biscuits, and cakes aplenty at the couple’s Lower King Home over April 1 and 2 as well as a raffle featuring prizes from 16 local sponsors and donors.

The couple usually host their fundraiser later in the year, but as they’ll be travelling, they were given special permission by the Cancer Council to host it early.

The official date for Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea, now in its 31st year, is May 23 but participants can host their own event anytime during May or June.
