Albany’s The Red Tails to bring the house down at Six Degrees

The Red Tails will kick off the new year with a sold-out gig at Six Degrees on Thursday night.

A collaboration between Vikki Thorn from The Waifs and Simon and Tammy London, the Red Tails bring powerful voices and songs to the stage.

Writing together through the challenges of COVID-19 in 2020, The Red Tails emerged with an uplifting blend of big soul harmonies drawing on their shared songwriting backgrounds of gospel, blues, country and roots.

Vikki Thorn is a member of The Waifs and has written songs such as The Bridal Train, Sun Dirt Water, Black Dirt Track.

She has toured all over the world singing with Bob Dylan, Paul Kelly, Missy Higgins and John Butler.

Simon London is a renowned Australian songwriter fronting Simon London + the Spirits who has toured extensively throughout North America and Australia.

Tammy London grew up singing hymns as the daughter of a travelling preacher and found her passion in writing and singing country soul.

She met her husband Simon at a gig at the local pub and as a duo they have appeared at festivals around Australia.

Doors open at 6pm with live music under way from 8pm.
