Police have confirmed the parties involved are known to each other.

Residents said they looked outside after hearing what sounded like a gunshot with one woman saying what she saw left her terrified.

“And then I see guys like, hiding behind like, not crouched but like bent down enough to hide behind their car. And one of them has like a rifle with a scope on it,” she said.

Forensic officers were looking closely at holes in a shade sail out the front of the house as they combed the street.

Police said nobody was hurt and there was no ongoing threat to the public, but neighbours told 7NEWS they saw a man who had been bloodied from the fighting.

Paramedics did not attend.

Neighbours say the commotion went on ‘for some time’ with people rushing off and then returning.

“Hell for leather, then they come back again and more arguing,” one man said.
