STM Loves: Bindaring Clothing Sale, Vitality Works, La Delizia Latticini x Cosy Del’s and Hotel Futura

Bindaring Clothing Sale At STM, we love a thrifted treasure, so we are excited for the Bindaring Clothing Sale on May 18, a huge second-hand fashion market that is the biggest single-day fundraiser for the Red Cross. Each year, donors from across WA donate more than 10 tonnes of clothes and accessories to be sold, from designer labels to op shop staples (this year, it includes this Top Shop suit in size ten, seen here on the stunning Veronique Willing). More than 200 volunteers run the free event at Claremont Showground, so all the money raised can go to the Red Cross’s programs in Australia and overseas. Vitality Works From the duo who brought Vitality House — the striking high-end, membership only co-working and wellness space — to West Leederville, comes their sister space. Vitality Works, also located in West Leedy, expands on the co-working concept, offering the option of collaborative or individual work zones (permanent desks are available), meeting rooms, boardroom, concierge services and printing facilities. Members will also have access to the infrared saunas, ice baths, gym and cafe at the original location. La Delizia Latticini x Cosy Del’s In what sounds to be a deliciously indulgent collaboration, Cosy Del’s and La Delizia Latticini are joining forces for an Italian feast. The five-course dinner, on May 25, will celebrate the artisanal cheese, such as the double cheesy number ricotta gnocchi with mushroom ragu and truffle burrata. The dinner is priced at $120 per person, bookings made on Cosy Del’s website. Hotel Futura It’s hard to drive past the gorgeous facade of Jardan in Peppermint Grove and not want to take a peek inside, particularly now, with the launch of its latest and largest collection. The Hotel Futura pieces, all made in Australia, are described as playful and elevated with a focus on encouraging togetherness. The new collection features an array of sofas, tables, armchairs with new colourways, textures and materials. Driza-Bone dog jackets It might be getting cold and wet, but our furry friends still need their exercise and these cute little numbers help them stay snug. They’re Australian-made from classic oilskin, which resists wind and rain, and come with two snap pockets for any doggy essentials. The Ashfield coat has a wool fleece lining for pups that need a bit of extra warmth, while the Apsley is for dogs that need protection from the elements without the heat. Native plant sale Pick up a special addition for the garden at the Friends Of Kings Park plant sale, being held on Botanic Gardens Day (May 26). Full of plants grown in small quantities by volunteers in the Kings Park nursery, there are often hard-to-get varieties available. Volunteers will also be on site if you need advice but the events, held four times a year, often attract a line of green thumbs — if you after something specific, it’s wise to be early. The sale runs from 9am until 12.30pm, unless the plants sell-out earlier, and will be held at Poolgarla Parkland, near Koorak Cafe (formerly Stickybeaks). See friendsofkingspark.com.au.
