Equestrian in the Park takes the reins on Perth’s social scene

Perth’s showjumping pinnacle event has found a new home nestled in the grassy knolls between Crown Perth and Optus Stadium. General admission ticketholders enjoyed a relaxing afternoon, spoilt for choice with a range of food trucks. But the place to be and hotly tipped up-and-coming glamour event was Crown’s Platinum Lounge. Guests were treated to a touch of celebrity with West Coast Eagles Mark Hutchings and Tim Kelly, along with Wildcats import Bryce Cotton, pictured with wife Rachel, enjoying the off-season. Big Brother stars Hannah Campbell and Angela Clancy were also spied enjoying a tipple or two of the free-flowing Moet and freshly shucked oysters. Organiser Mike D’Agostino hopes the event will continue to flourish and become a highlight of the city’s social calender. Picture: Alan Chau/The West Australian
