The excitement and style of America’s panhandle has been brought to Perth with Shelford’s latest display home – The Miami.

The influence is apparent from the outset, with the facade boasting a blend of black tiles and white render matched with natural-toned timber.

A wide and long window and door at the front hints at the immense space that lies within.

Shelford Quality Homes Interior and Architectural Designer Rui Rosa said The Miami expressed a cool retro style, where vintage art deco architecture met modern sophistication with a touch of glam.

“The Miami style is eclectic and sophisticated,” he said.

“It sits perfectly in our Perth suburbs, where there is a relaxed lifestyle, but our living demands a little fun and luxury – a perfect style in the perfect location indeed.”

Curved features are found throughout the home, including archways – a standout being the one with glass artwork mixed in. In addition to adding interest, the glass also allows for a steady flow of natural light through to the scullery and kitchen.

The kitchen features a curved drop ceiling, with this shape reflected below through the inclusion of a smooth island bench.

“The massive, curved island bench makes a stylish design statement in the home,” Mr Rosa said.

“Not only does it increase the cabinetry storage space, but the design also provides additional working space and serves as a place for dining, sitting and gathering.”

Consisting of a range of modern appliances, the kitchen also offers an abundance of storage options, including a pull-out pantry.

Leading on from this zone is the scullery, which could easily be transformed into a study area thanks to the smart charging station, allowing your children to complete their homework close by as you prepare dinner.

Thanks to the open-plan layout of the main area of the home, the dining and living area flows on from the kitchen to make for seamless entertainment opportunities.

Moving outwards, there is an undercover alfresco – an ideal base for dinner parties during the warmer months.

Throughout the entire home there are flourishes of colour, juxtaposing against the more pervasive neutral and natural tones.
