There is nothing like a new rattan cabinet or plush linen bed cover from Kmart to get social media in a tizz and people reaching for their car keys and credit card.

For years the retail giant has been knocking out competition with its bargain prices and stylish offerings, that if purchased elsewhere the price-tag could be quadrupled.

But with today’s announcement of Woolworths’ limited-edition homewares range, is their reign over?

The new collection from Woolies — our beloved supermarket where we pick up our toilet paper and last-minute dinner ingredients — features over 100 products including bedding, storage and decorations.

And if you thought Kmart prices were low, Woolworths are upping the ante, with pieces for as little as $6.

According to James Hepworth, Woolworths General Manager for Non Food, the new collection is in response to people spending more time at home who may be wanting to jazz up their spaces without breaking the bank.

“With our new homeware range, customers can refresh their home with the latest styles and trends while doing their weekly shop,” he says.

“Customers can find something for every room and with prices starting from just $6, it’s great value for those looking to add finishing touches to the house.”

Here are some of our top picks from the collection.

Mirabella Table Lamp, $25

King Bed Quilt Set, $45

Vase, $12

Artificial plant, $10
