Ben Cousins couldn’t be more ecstatic to embark on his new TV venture competing in Dancing With The Stars as he was all smiles heading into rehearsals.

The 45-year-old AFL legend and Channel 7 sports presenter was spotted heading to a Sydney gym ready to learn some choreography ahead of the dance competition which will soon go to air.

The former West Coast Eagles and Richmond player flashed a peace sign to cameras as he arrived at the studio in casual active wear that showed off his biceps.

Cousins was soon joined by his dance partner Siobhan Power who also looked ready to get started on technical routines.

The Sunday Times revealed Cousins would be joining the line-up of celebrity dancers in an exclusive interview with the star earlier this month.

“It’s good timing I suppose, in a position to probably take on some new challenges and in a good space,” Cousins said.

“I’m not exactly sure what I’m going to get out of it. But I think it will surprise me. And I have enjoyed it up until now — but it has been hard.

“So there’s certainly no time to lose momentum … or let life get in the way.”

Sonia Kruger will be joined in the hosting hot seat by Dr Chris Brown, with judges Craig Revel Horwood, Sharna Burgess, Helen Richey and Mark Wilson making on the judging panel.

Dancing With The Stars is coming soon to Channel 7 and 7plus.
