Brooklyn Beckham’s close call running into estranged father David Beckham at the iconic Beverly Hills Hotel

A LA hotel nearly became the scene of an awkward family moment, with Sir David Beckham said to have narrowly avoided a run-in with estranged son Brooklyn earlier this week.
David and his wife Victoria Beckham are reportedly trying to reconnect with their eldest son Brooklyn since their heartbreaking fall out last year.
In a cruel twist of fate, the father and son duo narrowly missed coming face-to-face not once, but twice, at the iconic Beverly Hills Hotel this week.
According to the Daily Mail, the former England captain, 50, and Brooklyn, 27, were both staying at the five-star hotspot, with their movements overlapping by mere hours apart on Monday.
David had reportedly checked in to the hotel late Sunday evening after returning from a skiing trip in British Columbia with their middle son Romeo.
The husband of Victoria Beckham then headed out in the early hours of Monday morning to film a Lays advertisement in Santa Monica ahead of the upcoming World Cup.
Just hours later, Brooklyn arrived at the hotel for breakfast following a late night at Sir Elton John’s Oscars party, before spending the day relaxing by the palm tree covered pool.
The 27-year-old cooking influencer was seen sunbathing around 3pm — only three hours before his father returned for dinner at the hotel’s famous Polo Lounge with friends, including long time family pal David Gardner.
While the timing suggests a close call, sources claim the gap between the pair may have been even tighter.
“Brooklyn also probably had no idea that his father was staying in a room just yards away from where they were having their breakfast,” a source close to the family told the publication.
‘Brooklyn was with Elton when David arrived to check in on Sunday night, didn’t get there before David left on Monday morning and then had gone before he arrived back.”
The near encounter comes amid an ongoing rift between Brooklyn and his parents, with insiders claiming there has been no contact for some time.
“It’s desperately sad,” the source said.
“Brooklyn has made it clear he doesn’t want a relationship with David or Victoria.”
Brooklyn is a frequent visitor of the hotel, often seen enjoying time by the pool or dining at the pink and green hotel, sometimes without his wife Nicola Peltz.
The venue is just minutes away from the couple’s $13 million Beverly Hills home.
